The Working Artist

Nancy encounters everything through art.  Her how and why of life finds expression through varied disciplines of visual art.

Her art studies reach from The California College of Arts and Crafts to the opera in Florence, Italy to the Parsons School of Design. She has worked as a scenic painter for opera and ballet, illustrator, painter, and muralist. She has assisted art conservators in the restoration of historic Broadway theater murals and was asked to add original work to the Golden Theater on 45th Street in New York City.

Residential mural work shows the influence of the Hudson River School of painters and graces many beautiful homes.

A real passion for abstract art shows the authority of her strong representational foundation. Distilling an affinity with Nature and an immersion into the Taos, New Mexico landscape, her latest work reflects a synthesis of disciplines in a series entitled “Tapestries of the High Desert”.
